Atlantic Yards

e4, inc. is the sustainability consultant to the owner, Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC) for the 22-acre Atlantic Yards Arena and Redevelopment in downtown Brooklyn. The project will ultimately include a new Arena for the Nets and a number of residential towers all designed by Frank Gehry Partners. e4, inc. is supporting the project team in all aspects of sustainable design including site planning, stormwater management, high performance building strategies, alternative waste treatment systems and distributed generation possibilities. e4, inc. will also be working to maximize the incentives available for the project. Bank of America Headquarters at One Bryant Park

The 2.1 million sf office tower is located at 42nd Street and the Avenue of the Americas, and is seeking LEED for Core & Shell Platinum certification and the NYS Green Building Tax Credit. e4 inc. is providing LEED coordination services for this extremely complex project which includes a completely rebuilt theater with a landmarked facade, a 5.2 MW combined cycle power plant, a grey water system, green roof, and many other innovative features. British Airways
| e4 is providing LEED Project Management services for the British Airways VIP gut renovation which will take place at JFK International Airport . The project includes the renovation of the First Class and Silver Club check-ins and lounges, as well as, work on the exterior to create a new entrance for First Class and a new structure to house First-Class Check-in. This project is seeking a LEED-CI Silver Rating and will be the first LEED Certified project at JFK International. Green features of the space will include daylight responsive controls, low-flow water fixtures, recycled content materials and low-emitting adhesives, sealants and paints. TOP |

Perry Avenue Multi-Tenant Industrial Building
| The Perry Avenue Multi-tenant Industrial Building is a 3-story 87,000 sf light industrial manufacturing/warehouse facility seeking LEED Silver Certification. It features many water efficient fixtures such as waterless urinals and dual-flush toilets. Special attention has been given to using low emitting and recycled content materials throughout the building. Taking advantage of its close proximity to breezes coming off the water, the project is also planning to be the first project in New York City to incorporate parapet mounted wind turbines. TOP |

Carvel Golf Course Community

| e4 inc. is the green building consultant to the owner (The Durst Organization) and Landmark National, who will design and develop a new sustainable 2000-acre recreational community in upstate New York. e4 is currently exploring new LEED Standards for Homes (LEED-H) and Neighborhood Developments (LEED-ND) to evaluate the appropriate standard the project and assisting in the exploration of low impact development strategies, alternative waste treatment systems and alternative energy options (e.g., photovoltaics, geothermal, wind, combined, heat and power, etc). The Epic
The new 57-story 574,000 gross sf building in midtown Manhattan includes a 426,000 sf rental apartment tower, a 24,000 sf parking garage, a 77,000 sf office condominium and a 43,000 sf Rectory for the Church of St. Francis. The 451 residential apartments, consisting of 0, 1 & 2 bedroom units, are on floors 13-57 of the tower. e4, inc. is providing LEED project management services to help the residential tower achieve its goal of a LEED Silver certification including green materials and technology research, subcontractor education, application for NYSERDA incentives, documentation coordination and submission, construction plans and reporting and LEED Credit Interpretation requests. Museum for African Art

| e4, inc. is providing LEED Project Management services for the Museum of African Art. The museum's new permanent home will be located on Museum Mile at the corner of Fifth Avenue and E. 110th Street in the borough of Manhattan, near the neighborhood of Harlem. The museum will be located within the first 3 floors of a mid-rise residential building designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern. The 95,000 s.f. project is seeking a LEED-CI Silver Rating. Green features of the space will include daylight responsive controls, low-flow water fixtures, rapidly renewable materials and low-emitting adhesives, sealants and paints. Utmost attention is being paid to Indoor Air Quality concerns to preserve the health of museum visitors as well as the integrity of the artwork. TOP |

The Toren

Designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, Toren is a 37 story, 311,000 square foot residential tower located near the downtown of Brooklyn, New York. This is a multi-use building and includes cellar and 2 nd floor parking, a retail base, and residential condominiums on floors 5-37 with amenities on the 4 th floor. BFC Partners, the project developers, will occupy the 3 rd floor of the building. e4, inc. is providing LEED project management services to help this project reach a LEED Gold level. The building's green features include low-flow fixtures, low-emitting and recycled materials and a gas reciprocating cogeneration plant, which will use heat recovery technology to heat water for the building.TOP |
WNYC Relocation Project

| e4, inc. provides services to WNYC, New York Public Radio, who is planning to relocate their broadcast headquarters to a 12-story 1910 building on the West Side of Manhattan. The project consists of approximately 56,000 sq. ft. and includes offices, studios, control and equipment rooms, editing, production spaces, and newsrooms on three continuous floors in the new lease space. The project also incorporates a 3,600 sf audience participation studio located at ground level. This LEED Commercial Interiors project utilizes the lighting potentials of the existing band of continuous windows that surround the perimeter of the building, integrating energy efficient lighting fixtures and daylight sensors to optimize energy performance. Other features include ecologically responsible and low-emitting interior materials. The project goal is LEED for Commercial Interiors Silver. e4 is providing full LEED project management, contractor education and documentation services. TOP |

American Cancer Society Headquarters

| The 77,000 sf American Cancer Society project is located on floors 2 through 11 in the new St. Francis of Assisi project. The project includes five floors of office space and five floors for The Hope Lodge, a temporary residential facility for cancer patients undergoing treatment in the area. The project goal is LEED for Commercial Interiors Silver, with emphasis on green finish materials. e4, inc. is providing full LEED project management, contractor education and documentation services. Four Times Square

Pamela Lippe was, and still is the environmental consultant to The Durst Organization, the owner/developer of the first environmentally responsible skyscraper built in the United States. The core and shell of the Condé Nast Building at Four Times Square, was completed in May 1999 and preceded the LEED 1.0 standard. It is still one of the most prominent green buildings in the United States. Ms. Lippe attended the bi-weekly owners' meetings and tracked and reported to the owner-developer on all energy and environmental issues. She provided technical support to different members of the project team during the various phases of the project and developed and managed all the reporting forms for the contractors. She was the primary author of the Tenant Environmental Guideline at Four Times Square. TOP |
Franklin Care Center

| e4, inc. is the environmental consultant to the owner/developer. The Franklin Care Center is a nursing home and long-term acute care hospital located in Franklin Park, New Jersey and intends to become the first green nursing home in the state. The project is made up of a 70,000sf existing building that will be renovated and a new addition of 70,000sf. The project is interested in pursuing a LEED Gold rating, and possibly the Green Guide for Healthcare, as well as New Jersey Clean Energy incentives. The owner is exploring onsite generation and Combined Heat & Power, a DALI lighting system and a variety of strategies to improve energy and water efficiency and indoor air quality. TOP |

| The Helena is a 38-story, 600,000 square foot residential tower located on West 57th Street in New York City. The Helena is utilizing a blackater treatment system, microturbines, a green roof, photovoltaics, and many other high performance strategies in its quest for LEED Gold. As the owner's green building consultant, e4 inc. supports the project team toward its environmental goals. Services included: green project management, building materials and technology research, subcontractor education, documentation coordination, construction plans and reporting and LEED Credit Interpretation Requests (CIRs). for Lower Manhattan
e4 was the facilitator of two-day workshop at the Pocantico Conference Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund to explore high performance building opportunities for the post-9/11downtown re-development. TOP
Ithaca College
| The $14 million, 40,000 sq.ft. building has a design goal of achieving LEED Platinum with groundbreaking planned for May 2006. e4, inc. is the owner's green representative, helping to manage the LEED process, secure incentives and assist the college in reviewing green opportunities and requirements. Strategies under consideration include a double wall, solar hot water heating, natural and mixed ventilation, green roofs, ground source heat pumps, waterless urinals, and radiant floors. TOP |
New York City Department of Design & Construction

The New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC) hired e4, inc., in conjuction with Horizon Engineering, to conduct a three month study of the feasibility of achieving a LEED EBOM Silver Rating for three City cultural buildings.
The Peter Jay Sharp Building at the Brooklyn Academy of Music is a 119,000 square foot cultural and entertainment facility that boasts a 2,000 seat opera house, practice spaces, a café, a four screen cinema and staff office space. Completed in 1908, BAM receives more than half a million visitors per year.
The Flushing Branch of the Queens Borough Public Library (completed 1998) is a 76,000 square foot building that houses a branch library, an adult learning center, the International Resource Center and a stat-of the art auditorium and exhibit space.
The Administration West Building at the Bronx Zoo was originally built at the turn of the century to house the bird exhibit. In the early 90's the building underwent a comprehensive renovation which turned the building into a 27,720 square foot administration building.
In addition to these three building, e4 also applied the Existing Building rating system to City buildings as a portfolio. This was the first time that the City has commissioned a comprehensive study of applying LEED EBOM to their existing building stock. TOP |
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey
| e4 inc. was hired by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Engineering Department as a high performance design consultant to work on the planned 38,135 sf Teterboro Airport Administration/ARFF building. e4 began by facilitating a three day high performance workshop/"charrette" for the project. The workshop focused on brainstorming and developing a team consensus for project goals & objectives, design concepts, system strategies, and guidelines for the overall building process. The project was unfortunately cancelled after the September 11 attack that destroyed the offices of the Port Authority Engineering Department. TOP |
